As a Critical Tech Lead you will performs direct and indirect patient care in collaboration with RN or Physician. Assumes responsibilityand accountability for facilitating, communicating and collaborating with the team to meet the physical and emotional needs of the patient.Orders, receives and stocks supplies for the department/unit. Assists support staff with filing, medical records and daily tasks as assigned. Provides shift leadership and support for the Critical Care Techs and other support staff.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Emergency Medical Technician EMT-A or EMT-I or Paramedic Certificate
  • IV Certificate
  • BLS American Heart

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year healthcare experience (pre-hospital, ED and/or patient care)

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership, support and coordination to Critical Care Tech staff.
  • May participate in the interviewing and selection process.
  • Responsible for orienting, training and mentoring staff and students.
  • Able to perform, demonstrate and train staff on processes, procedures and equipment.
  • Provides feedback and recommendations regarding staff performance.
  • Assists in directing, organizing and prioritizing all shift activities ensuring patient care and staff needs are met.
  • Assures effective daily operation of the team.
  • May conduct audits regarding documentation and assist with data collection.
  • Problem solves immediate issues that may negatively impact patient care.
  • Assists leadership in identifying, developing and implementing process improvement initiatives.
