Children's Mercy is seeking a Critical Care Staff Nurse for the Emergency Department. This role involves providing the highest level of care to sick and injured children and adolescents in the Kansas City region. The hospital has two Pediatric Emergency Departments, one in downtown Kansas City and one in Overland Park, Kan. The Adele Hall Campus location is a verified Level I Trauma Center and includes the Emergency Mental Health Crisis Center. The Children's Mercy Kansas location also provides essential emergency services. Patients receive skilled care from highly trained professionals who are involved in scholarly research, advocacy, and educational endeavors. The Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship Program is highly respected. Critical care registered nurses provide illness management and health promotion for patients and families requiring intensive care, utilizing the nursing process and scientific principles to deliver safe, high-quality, comprehensive, and age-appropriate nursing care. They also provide patient and family education, advocate for patient needs, and coordinate care with nonprofessional personnel.
