About The Position

As a member of the Critical Care Response Transport Team, the Registered Nurse provides patient assessment, critical nursing care, and transport services to patients. The Nurse is responsible for supervising patient care, treatment, and assessment during transport. Duties include providing excellent patient care, safe lifting and transferring of patients, operating emergency vehicles safely, adhering to company policies, completing documentation, responding to dispatch instructions, maintaining safety standards, participating in continuing education, keeping vehicles and stations clean, maintaining equipment and supplies, communicating effectively, and maintaining strict confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Active and unencipitated RN license.
  • Certified in ACLS and PALS prior to hire.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and stressful environment.
  • Ability to calculate weight and volume ratios and read small print.
  • Ability to read and converse in English.
  • Ability to read road maps, street signs, and address numbers.
  • Ability to document information in writing in the prescribed format.
  • Ability to learn, use, and be proficient in all patient care equipment.
  • Ability to understand and retain instructions in a timely and accurate manner.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of experience in a critical care or emergency department environment.
  • Certified CEN and/or CCRN preferred.
  • Patient transport experience preferred.
  • BSN preferred.
  • EMT-B bridge course will be offered upon hire.
