Critical Care RN/Critical Care RN Trainee - SICU
About The Position
Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is seeking experienced Critical Care Registered Nurses and Critical Care Registered Nurse Trainees for the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU). This role involves planning, evaluating, and implementing patient care according to accepted standards. The Critical Care Registered Nurse Trainee Level provides an opportunity for experienced RNs to train in a new specialty and advance their careers, with automatic advancement to Journey Level upon completion of preceptorship/orientation and required certifications. The official county titles are Specialty Care Registered Nurse Critical Care and Specialty Care Registered Nurse Critical Care Trainee. ARMC is a state-of-the-art, 456-bed teaching hospital with a regional burn center, comprehensive stroke center, Level I trauma center, and a behavioral health center. It is the primary teaching hospital for California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM).
Requirements
- Critical Care RN Trainee Experience: One (1) year of full-time equivalent experience as a licensed registered nurse.
- Critical Care RN Experience: One (1) year of full-time equivalent experience as a licensed registered nurse.
- Must possess and maintain Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.
- Must possess and maintain current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Nice To Haves
- Candidates possessing a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and one (1) year of ICU experience are desired.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Arrhythmia Class
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification
- Critical Care Course OR Critical Care RN Certification
