About The Position

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is seeking experienced Critical Care Registered Nurses and Critical Care Registered Nurse Trainees for the Emergency Department. This role involves planning, evaluating, and implementing patient care according to accepted standards. The Critical Care Registered Nurse Trainee level provides an opportunity for experienced RNs to train in a new specialty and advance their careers, with automatic advancement to Journey Level upon completion of preceptorship/orientation and required certifications. ARMC is a 456-bed, university-affiliated teaching hospital with a regional burn center, comprehensive stroke center, Level I trauma center, and behavioral health center, serving as the primary teaching hospital for California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM).

Requirements

• One (1) year of full-time equivalent experience as a licensed registered nurse.
• Possess and maintain Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.
• Possess and maintain current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At time of application (for Critical Care RNs): Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale Certification, PALS Certification issued by the American Heart Association, Basic Arrhythmia Class.
• Within 6 months of hire (for Critical Care RNs): Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification issued by ARMC, Critical Care Course OR Critical Care RN Certification OR Certified Emergency Nurse Certification.

Nice To Haves
