About The Position

University of Maryland Saint Joseph Medical Center (UMSJMC), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System, has an excellent opportunity available for a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team. This position involves working with a team of Pulmonary and Critical Care Providers in a closed Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU) and an Intermediate Care Unit. The role requires the ability to diagnose patients and implement a plan of care for acute and chronic health conditions in the intensive care unit.

Requirements

4 year / Bachelor’s Degree: Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner (Required)
BLS Certification (Required)
Physician Assistant (Required)
Registration from Maryland State Board of Physicians (Required)
Nurse Practitioner License with Maryland Board of Nursing (required)
0 - 1 year Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner (Required)

Nice To Haves

Master’s Degree (Preferred)
2 - 4 years Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)
Strong critical care patient management experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills as well as effective written and oral communication skills.
Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
