About The Position

Join International SOS Government Medical Services and support mission-critical healthcare operations in a fast-paced international environment. We are seeking experienced Critical Care Paramedics who excel in emergency medicine, advanced patient care, and high-pressure response situations while supporting U.S. government personnel overseas. The Critical Care Paramedic (CCP-C) provides advanced life support, emergency response, and critical care interventions for critically ill or injured patients. This role includes emergency stabilization, critical care transport support, advanced airway management, trauma response, and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams in clinic, emergency room, and inpatient settings.

Requirements

  • Current U.S. state Paramedic license in good standing
  • National Registry EMT-P certification or unrestricted state paramedic licensure
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Advanced trauma certification such as PHTLS, ITLS, TCCC, or equivalent
  • Current Critical Care Paramedic (CCP-C) certification required
  • Graduate of an accredited Paramedic program
  • Experience managing critically ill and trauma patients in emergency or critical care environments
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in high-stress emergency settings
  • Must read, write, and speak English fluently
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card holder required
  • Valid U.S. Passport with at least 18 months before expiration
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government MRPT security clearance
  • Must meet pre-deployment medical and physical requirements
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift up to 25 pounds, and sit for extended periods

Nice To Haves

  • FP-C certification accepted/preferred
  • Current clearance holders preferred
  • Military, federal, or government contractor medical experience
  • Previous austere, overseas, flight, or critical care transport experience
  • Experience supporting DOD or DOS healthcare operations

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced life support and critical care during emergency response and patient transport
  • Assess, triage, stabilize, and manage critically ill or injured patients
  • Perform advanced airway procedures including intubation and ventilator management
  • Administer IV therapies, emergency medications, and critical care infusions
  • Operate and interpret advanced medical equipment including cardiac monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and hemodynamic monitoring devices
  • Interpret 12-lead ECGs and manage cardiac emergencies
  • Deliver advanced trauma care and resuscitation interventions
  • Treat severe trauma, respiratory distress, cardiac arrest, chest injuries, and emergency maternity cases
  • Insert intraosseous (IO) access devices for emergency medication and fluid administration
  • Assist providers with procedures and treatments within scope of practice
  • Document patient assessments, vital signs, medications, and treatments in EMR systems
  • Maintain medical inventory, restock supplies, and ensure equipment readiness
  • Cross-train and support clinic, emergency room, and inpatient operations
  • Mentor EMS personnel and participate in ongoing training and competency programs
  • Maintain compliance with organizational, client, and Joint Commission standards
