About The Position

This position provides quality patient care utilizing thorough knowledge and appropriate administration of Critical Care Training, ACLS, and Critical Care Transport Standing Orders. The role involves assisting in treating medical situations with appropriate techniques, resources, and equipment while maintaining the highest standard of patient care according to current Company standards. Responsibilities include completing run reports, maintaining continued medical education requirements, and possessing thorough knowledge of ambulance, equipment, supplies, and medications. The role also requires professional and courteous communication with customers, active marketing of the CCP program, and understanding procedures for vehicle checkout and supply reporting. Additionally, the position involves recording runs, attending staff meetings, performing stocking and cleaning duties, and understanding CCP policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Current Florida Paramedic certification
  • Current BLS & ACLS Certification
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Florida driver license upon offer of employment.
  • High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • A.S. Degree in Emergency Medical Technology
  • Two years working experience as a Paramedic.
  • National Registry
  • Critical patient inter-facility transfer experience
  • Critical Care certification

Responsibilities

  • Prompt and regular attendance at work.
  • Provide quality patient care utilizing thorough knowledge and appropriate administration of Critical Care Training, ACLS, and Critical Care Transport Standing Orders.
  • Assist in treating with appropriate techniques (resources and equipment) any medical situation while maintaining the highest standard of patient care according to current Company standards.
  • Complete run reports for each transport with appropriate patient care documentation and billing information.
  • Maintain CCP continued medical education requirements to maintain a higher level of training and education.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the ambulance, equipment, supplies, and medications.
  • Provide customers with professional and courteous communication and service.
  • Actively market the CCP program to maintain a positive image and understanding of the CCP program.
  • Understand the procedure for vehicle checkout, reporting equipment failure, submitting expended supply reports on a daily basis.
  • Record all runs in CCP Log spreadsheet when indicated.
  • Attend CCP Staff meetings.
  • Perform stocking and cleaning of CCP vehicle and station.
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of CCP policies and procedures.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
