About The Position

The Critical Care Nurse Practitioner (NP/PA) provides general medical care to hospitalized adult patients with acute medical conditions. The role follows a 7-days-on / 7-days-off rotation, working 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, for 14 shifts per month. Candidates must be willing to commit to the required rotation.

Requirements

• Active New York NP or PA license in hand.
• Board certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications or accepted RQI certifications.
• Epic experience required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Updated work history with no unexplained gaps of 30 days or more.
• Residents and fellows will not be accepted.
• Must be willing to commit to the required 7-days-on / 7-days-off rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide general medical care to hospitalized adult patients with acute medical conditions.
• Evaluate patients upon admission and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of illnesses and diseases.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, laboratory work, and X-rays.
• Coordinate care with physicians, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Communicate treatment plans and answer patient questions.
• Coordinate follow-up care after hospital discharge.
