About The Position

Take the next step in your career with Morrison Healthcare as a CRITICAL CARE DIETITIAN in Charleston, SC! This position is located at Morrison Healthcare at MUSC Health in an Acute Care setting. The role requires obtaining CNSC certification within one year. The RD will be responsible for placing tubes and managing micro & macro nutrients on PH. You’ll provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and education for patients in a specialty area, working with a collaborative team to enhance patient outcomes through evidence-based nutrition care.

Requirements

  • Must be registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam eligible
  • Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable
  • Specialty certification when required
  • Obtain CNSC certification within one year

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of work experience in specialty preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients in a designated specialty area to promote recovery and improve health outcomes
  • Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community
  • Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care
  • Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence
  • Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals
  • Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable
