About The Position

Our client is seeking a Hospital Liaison & Emergency Care Director to take ownership of critical-care cases from the moment an emergency arises through the coordination, transfer, and follow-through of appropriate care. This is a high-responsibility, mission-driven position for a sharp, confident professional with a strong medical background and exceptional relationship and communication skills. The Director will be the person who sees the case, understands what needs to happen, knows who to call, mobilizes the right resources, and makes sure it gets done. The role combines medical judgment, hospital facilitation, logistics, patient advocacy, and relationship management. The ideal candidate has the ability to remain calm under pressure, navigate complex hospital systems, communicate effectively with physicians and families, and carry significant responsibility on behalf of patients.

Requirements

  • Medically knowledgeable with a solid healthcare background and the ability to understand complex medical situations.
  • Sharp and resourceful, with excellent judgment and the ability to think several steps ahead.
  • Confident and well-spoken, able to communicate comfortably with physicians, hospital executives, families, and professionals.
  • Diplomatic and relationship-oriented, with a natural ability to build trust and get people to work together.
  • Calm under pressure, able to make decisions and take action when the stakes are high.
  • Out-of-the-box thinker, able to find solutions when the obvious path isn't working.
  • Highly organized and business-minded, with a strong sense of urgency and an understanding of availability, resources, priorities, and logistics.
  • Persistent and accountable, someone who follows through and doesn't let cases fall through the cracks.
  • Independent and proactive, capable of taking ownership without needing constant direction.
  • Mission-driven, with a genuine desire to help people and make a meaningful difference.

  • Communicate clearly and diplomatically while advocating strongly for the patient's needs.
  • Serve as a trusted presence for families during some of their most difficult moments.
  • Carry both the medical and organizational ends of critical-care emergencies.
  • Coordinate communication between families, physicians, hospitals, transport providers, and departments.
  • Follow cases closely and ensure appropriate follow-through from initial assessment through transfer, treatment, or discharge.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless coordination and continuity of care.
  • Maintain clear organization and accountability across multiple moving parts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, hospital leadership, clinical teams, and other key healthcare contacts.
  • Develop a strong network of contacts that can be activated when patients need help urgently.
