About The Position

Bartlett Regional Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their Critical Care team. This is a part-time position. The recruitment is open until filled. Pay information varies for internal and external hires, with CNA 1 starting at $23.63 per hour and CNA 2 starting at $27.73 per hour. The CNA 1 role is an entry-level position focused on basic direct patient care and activities of daily living under supervision, emphasizing foundational skills, safe patient handling, infection prevention, and observation. The CNA 2 role involves independently performing the full range of CNA duties, providing safe and compassionate care, recognizing and communicating patient condition changes, and demonstrating proficiency in ADLs, mobility assistance, vital signs, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Current State of Alaska Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License
  • CNA 1: No prior experience required.
  • CNA 2: Three (3) Months of experience and checked off on all competencies.
  • Must produce a negative drug screen for all illegal substances in the State of Alaska prior to the start of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Builds consistency, confidence, and efficiency in routine care delivery (CNA 1).
  • Independently performs the full range of CNA duties for assigned patients/residents (CNA 2).
  • Delivers safe, compassionate care and reliably recognizes and communicates changes in patient/resident condition (CNA 2).
  • Demonstrates consistent proficiency in ADLs, mobility assistance, vital signs, and documentation (CNA 2).
  • Serves as a dependable member of the care team who supports care planning through accurate observations and effective communication (CNA 2).
