About The Position

The Mission Critical Applications Section requires a motivated and customer-focused individual to join the Mission Critical Applications team as a Critical Applications Support Analyst. In this role, you will support key policing systems—including RMS, CAD, and their integrated applications—ensuring users receive timely and effective technical assistance. You will troubleshoot issues, assist with system updates, and contribute to small enhancements that improve how these critical systems operate. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an internal candidate seeking a new challenge in a mission-critical IT environment that directly supports public and officer safety.

Requirements

  • Degree in a related discipline and 1 year of relevant experience OR Post secondary diploma in a related discipline and 2 years of relevant experience OR 1 year related certificate and 4 years relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
  • Basic programming and scripting knowledge
  • Foundational understanding of application support and troubleshooting

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with REST web APIs
  • Familiarity with message queues or event-driven systems
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure or cloud-based environments
  • Experience supporting enterprise or mission-critical systems
  • Familiarity with ticketing/workflow tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, Jira)
  • C# and PowerShell

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for mission-critical applications (RMS, CAD, and integrated systems), including troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Respond to incidents and service requests with timely and professional communication
  • Assist with system testing, updates, and minor enhancements
  • Support small projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing
