The Crisis Specialist (BSW) of the ChAMPS program (Children and Adolescent Mobile Psychiatric Service) provides mental health and behavioral crisis assessment and intervention services within the community. The position works with a partner and as a member of a team of Crisis Specialists to provide rapid mobile response and crisis assessment and to assist with the stabilization or psychiatric hospitalization (when necessary) of children and adolescents ages 6-17, including youth up to age 21 when in the care and custody of DC Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA). To ensure the program has staffing coverage during the holidays, all staff are required to work a rotating holiday schedule.
