About The Position

At Riverwood Center we have a team of caring and committed professionals providing a wide array of personalized services to individuals with behavioral health, intellectual & developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders. Riverwood Center is located in beautiful Southwest Michigan with staff at seven sites across Berrien County. We are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and a member of Southwest Michigan Behavioral Health, Michigan Association of Community Mental Health Boards, and the National Council for Behavioral Health. Riverwood Center has been serving members of our community since 1975. We provide a wide array of services to children, families and individuals with mental illness, intellectual & developmental disabilities and substance use disorders. Riverwood Center conducts business as a division of Berrien Mental Health Authority and we have staff located at seven sites across Berrien County. Requirements

  • Must be registered with the State of Michigan as a Limited Licensed or Licensed Master’s Social Worker, Temporary or Limited Licensed Psychologist or Limited or Licensed Professional Counselor
  • Five or more years’ experience providing mental health services and two or more years’ supervisory experience
  • Must meet the requirements for Child Mental Health Professional

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the urgent care, mobile crisis and after-hours services, to adults and children with mental illness, substance use and/or individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Implements and monitors the team’s clinical practices, efficiencies, and effectiveness and determines teamwork priorities
  • Provides direct services, documents treatment, and provides clinical guidance as directed to clinical and other staff as appropriate
  • SUPERVISES: Crisis Services Therapists and After-Hours Crisis Services Therapists
