About The Position

The Crisis Service Program partners with law enforcement, first responders, and community providers to deliver trauma-sensitive, person-centered crisis intervention, de-escalation, assessment, support planning, and connection to community resources for individuals experiencing mental health or substance use crises. These positions provide outreach, follow-up support, crisis stabilization, and coordination of care for children, adolescents, adults, and families in community-based settings.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mental Health or related field required.
Knowledge of behavioral health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local laws related to crisis services.
Criminal background check

Driver’s license check – must be able to be covered under Elevate’s insurance carrier
Drug screening
Strict confidentiality must be maintained in accordance with agency policies and applicable laws and regulations.

Experience or training in crisis intervention preferred.

Responsibilities

Respond to community crisis and emergency calls.
Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, assessment, support planning, and referrals to resources.
Collaborate with law enforcement, dispatch, hospitals, and community agencies.
Provide follow-up support and coordination of care.
Utilize trauma-sensitive, person-centered, and zero-suicide approaches.
Develop safety and crisis plans as needed.
Initiate Chapter 51 and Chapter 55 actions when appropriate.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
Participate in outreach, briefings, and collaborative response efforts.
Maintain required training and compliance standards.
