About The Position

Aspire Indiana Health is a nonprofit provider of comprehensive “whole health” services including primary medical care, behavioral health, recovery services and programs addressing the social drivers of health such as housing and employment. Aspire has health centers in five Central Indiana counties serving Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life. The Crisis Response team will provide a range of responsive crisis assessments, immediate interventions, and case management services to individuals and families in the communities served by Aspire Indiana Health. The Crisis Response team will promote collaborative working relationships with both internal and community partners. Must be flexible in providing crisis services via video conference, telephonically, and in-person in the community. Full-time and part-time options available.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of related experience required
  • Must live in Indiana

Nice To Haves

  • behavioral health and/or crisis experience highly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Community Health/Public Health or related field from a college/university accredited by the U.S Department of Education preferred
  • unrelated degrees may require a review of college transcripts
  • Knowledge of community resources, referral processes and risk assessments preferred

Responsibilities

  • Respond in a timely manner to all requests for crisis intervention that are immediate in nature
  • Triage phone calls and route appropriately base on needs and preliminary risk assessments
  • Provide comprehensive crisis counseling and safety planning for clients in need
  • Support and guide Aspire staff and community stakeholders in the process of inpatient psychiatric admission during behavioral health emergencies
  • Facilitate inpatient admissions, emergency detention orders, Apprehend and Return orders, and Immediate Detention Orders
  • Coordinate Mobile Crisis Team interventions
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with first responders, dispatchers, and hospitals
