Common Ground is seeking a Master-level licensed clinician to join the Oakland Collaborative Crisis Response (OCCR) team as a Mobile Crisis Clinician. This role, based out of the Bingham Farms location, serves Oakland County. The Mobile Crisis Clinician partners with Crisis Support Specialists to provide in-person crisis response for calls that cannot be resolved by phone. The position involves utilizing best practices in crisis intervention for mental health and substance use, including prevention, postvention, education, stabilization, short-term treatment (strength-based crisis therapy, cognitive-behavioral interventions, mindfulness, anger management, coping skills), and follow-up services. The team supports children, adolescents, adults, seniors, families, schools, neighborhoods, organizations, and businesses by offering up to 30 days of in-home crisis counseling for immediate emotional and behavioral stabilization. The OCCR team has access to a crisis center, local Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs), the Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUC), psychiatrists, nurses, and a continuum of crisis services.
