As a Crisis Center Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of crisis intervention services, ensuring individuals receive timely, effective, and compassionate care. You will provide leadership and support to crisis staff, monitor service delivery, facilitate program development, maintain compliance with applicable standards, coordinate community partnerships, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives. This position combines clinical leadership, operational oversight, and community engagement to support the success of both employees and clients.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Qualified Mental Health Professional with experience in behavioral health or crisis services.
  • Ability to establish effective professional relationships through telephone and in-person interactions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with community groups, organizational staff, and clients' family members or natural supports.
  • Must complete CPI, First Aid, and CPR certifications.
  • Demonstrated adaptability in responding effectively to changing priorities and service demands.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to take appropriate independent action when necessary.
  • Prior to removal from probationary status, must demonstrate competency in crisis intervention, safety procedures, legal issues, and collaboration with law enforcement.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Compassion, empathy, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to helping others.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional licensure preferred, including PLPC, LPC, LMSW, or LCSW.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support Crisis Services staff through hiring, onboarding, scheduling, training, performance management, and professional development.
  • Ensure individuals experiencing crises receive high-quality, person-centered services, including assessment, intervention, and coordination of care.
  • Develop and implement crisis service programs, policies, procedures, and staff training initiatives that support organizational goals and client needs.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, healthcare providers, community agencies, and stakeholders to strengthen crisis response services and community partnerships.
  • Monitor service quality through data collection, outcome review, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
  • Manage risk by implementing safety protocols, conducting assessments, and promoting adherence to best practices.
  • Oversee department operations, including budgeting, financial management, grant-related activities, reporting, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, ethical standards, documentation requirements, and confidentiality guidelines.
  • Represent the crisis center in the community through outreach activities, presentations, and advocacy efforts that increase awareness of behavioral health services.
