About The Position

Network180 is seeking a Crisis Center Clinician to provide crisis intervention, assessments, therapy, and referral services for adults presenting to the Crisis Center. This role operates within a Brief Intervention Clinic and a Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU). Services can be delivered face-to-face or via telehealth. The Behavioral Health Crisis Center is a 24/7 facility serving adults 18 and older, offering assessment and unscheduled clinical services to prevent or resolve mental health or substance-related crises. The CSU aims to divert individuals from jail, emergency departments, and inpatient psychiatric settings to the least restrictive treatment setting. This specific position is scheduled for Sundays from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and is an in-person assignment.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Counseling Psychology.
Certification or Licensure in the State of Michigan as a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, or psychologist; OR be eligible for a limited license as stated above and obtain that licensure within three (3) months of hire.
Thorough working knowledge of the practices and principles of psychological, emotional, and sociological assessment and diagnosis.
Thorough working knowledge of professional ethics and standards of practice.
Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job-related use.
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and rationally.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, database management, electronic health record, and data entry skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in stressful situations.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities.

Licensed Master Social Worker.
Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.

Responsibilities

Provide crisis intervention, assessments, therapy, and referral services for adults presenting to the Crisis Center.
Activities may take place in a variety of settings and via face-to-face contact or telehealth (video or telephonic).
Deliver assessment and unscheduled clinical services designed to prevent or resolve mental health or substance-related crises.
Provide services to individuals whose crisis will typically resolve within a few hours, however, may require up to seventy-two (72) hours of treatment.
Services can be voluntary or involuntary.
