About The Position

Network180 is seeking a Crisis Center Clinician to provide crisis intervention, assessments, therapy, and referral services for adults presenting to the Crisis Center. This role operates within a Brief Intervention Clinic and a Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU). Services can be delivered face-to-face or via telehealth. The Behavioral Health Crisis Center is a 24/7 facility serving adults 18 and older, offering assessment and unscheduled clinical services to prevent or resolve mental health or substance-related crises. The CSU aims to divert individuals from jail, emergency departments, and inpatient psychiatric settings to the least restrictive treatment setting. This specific position is scheduled for Sundays from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and is an in-person assignment.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Counseling Psychology.
  • Certification or Licensure in the State of Michigan as a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, or psychologist; OR be eligible for a limited license as stated above and obtain that licensure within three (3) months of hire.
  • Thorough working knowledge of the practices and principles of psychological, emotional, and sociological assessment and diagnosis.
  • Thorough working knowledge of professional ethics and standards of practice.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job-related use.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and rationally.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, database management, electronic health record, and data entry skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in stressful situations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed Master Social Worker.
  • Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.

Responsibilities

  • Provide crisis intervention, assessments, therapy, and referral services for adults presenting to the Crisis Center.
  • Activities may take place in a variety of settings and via face-to-face contact or telehealth (video or telephonic).
  • Deliver assessment and unscheduled clinical services designed to prevent or resolve mental health or substance-related crises.
  • Provide services to individuals whose crisis will typically resolve within a few hours, however, may require up to seventy-two (72) hours of treatment.
  • Services can be voluntary or involuntary.
