The Crisis and Consultation Specialist provides triage, screening, same-day consultation, and crisis intervention work to enrolled University students. Provides direct counseling services. Ensures compliance with the Counseling Center Policy and Procedure Manual. Participates in outreach services to members of the University community as needed. Rotates on-call throughout the year for the purpose of crisis intervention services and will require some after hours work. Works with people in distress and encounters life-threatening emergencies routinely, for example: intervenes with a student who is acutely suicidal and making threats in their residential area. Maintains knowledge of and adheres to all policies and procedures as contained in the Counseling Center Policy and Procedure Manual. Completes required training and promoting a safe, hospitable, and respectful workplace. Has personal accountability for financial reporting and responsibility for establishing, enforcing, and following internal processes and controls as outlined in UA policies and procedures.
