The Office of Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) investigates deaths in New York City that are criminal, accidental, suicidal, sudden, unattended by a physician, in a correctional facility, or suspicious/unusual. The core purpose of OCME is to protect public health and serve impartial justice through forensic science and medicine, providing answers to families and communities during times of need. This role, under the direction of the Lead Forensic Pathology Coordinator, performs professional forensic work to support the operations of the OCME Forensic Pathology & Family Service Center. The position is considered "essential" and may require 24-hour availability during emergency events. Selected candidates will be required to provide a DNA sample.
