About The Position

Watermark, a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business founded by USAF veterans in 2007, is seeking a Criminal Justice Indexing Instructor. This role involves acting as a subject matter expert for the Department of the Air Force’s Criminal Justice Indexing Cell (CJIC), focusing on information and records management, criminal data reporting, and administrative functions to support military and civilian personnel. The instructor will be responsible for developing and implementing training materials covering Air Force Security Forces Criminal Indexing and Criminal Data Reporting Efforts.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years relevant and specialized experience in law enforcement or criminal justice.
  • Experience in security management, assessments, law enforcement and criminal justice operations.
  • Experience in training and training development.
  • Experience establishing and implementing complex programs and policies.
  • Experience in recommending and writing organizational training and procedure documents.
  • Experience developing and conducting virtual training.
  • Experience setting guidelines for curriculum development and training.
  • Experience evaluating management/assessment methodology.
  • Experience preparing and conducting high-level briefings.
  • Experience conducting research.
  • Experience preparing reports and special studies.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (4 years).
  • Active DOD Secret security clearance.
  • Prior Military or Civilian Law Enforcement experience.
  • Prior Military Personnel experience.
  • Knowledge of DoD Personnel Security, Information Security requirements.
  • Prior experience with DoD/USAF Military personnel databases.
  • Prior experience with DoD/Military and Civilian Law enforcement databases.
  • Ability to manage stress with a high degree of maturity/professionalism.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference for concentration in a management discipline such as Police Administration, Criminal Justice, or Business Administration.
  • DOD Top Secret (TS) Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement training guides including lesson plans, briefings, and visual aids, covering the description and purpose of criminal and administrative indices, review of incidents and investigations requiring indexing, data input into indexing systems (e.g., AFJIS, LSMS, CODIS), proper collection and submission of biometrics (e.g., fingerprints and DNA), and the importance of indexing to the Air Force, Law Enforcement, and Public Safety.
  • Utilize multiple Governmental databases and other public sources to manage, analyze, request, and receive information to ensure correct indexable information is obtained and reported.
  • Provide information, records management, and other related data reporting and administrative functions, including creating and presenting training guides, to support military or civilian personnel assigned to the Department of the Air Force or AFSF centralized indexing efforts, teams, cells, or task forces.
  • Deliver virtual and in-person training to Air Force Security Forces and AFOSI personnel, including audible and visual instruction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
