About The Position

RIDGEVIEW Behavioral Health Services, a not-for-profit community mental health center headquartered in Oak Ridge, TN, has an immediate opening for a Part-Time (20-24 hrs/wk) Bachelor’s Level Criminal Justice Case Manager to provide social services to individuals involved in the Anderson County justice system. Training provided! Successful candidates will have a passion for serving clients and supporting Ridgeview’s mission of Hope, Healing, and Recovery through the provision of case management. Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in the social sciences; two years of professional experience working with in the fields of mental health and substance abuse; or an equivalent combination of education and experience equal to at least five years.
  • Criminal Justice experience preferred.
  • Good organization and time management.
  • Safe driving record required.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of services at all levels of the criminal justice process from pre-arrest to probation.
  • Early identification, assessment of mental health status, review of psychiatric and addiction treatment records.
  • Development and implementation of treatment plans that includes: diagnosis, therapeutic interventions, medication consultations, suicidal and violence interventions, diversion, continuity of care while incarcerated.
  • Consultation with the courts regarding course of action.
  • Discharge planning, outcome monitoring and mental health training and education.
  • Documentation of services according to jail and agency standards.
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to speak and legibly write the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress of the position.
