Requirements
- J.D. and an active Minnesota law license in good standing
- 0–3 years of criminal law experience (internships, clerkships, or public defender experience welcomed)
- Strong courtroom presence and litigation mindset
- Excellent writing and negotiation skills
- High emotional intelligence and client advocacy focus
- Strong, highly proficient technical skills
Responsibilities
- Represent clients at arraignments, motions, contested hearings, and trials
- Draft persuasive motions and constitutional arguments
- Conduct legal research and develop defense strategies
- Negotiate with prosecutors for dismissals and favorable resolutions
- Maintain strong, client-first communication during high-stress situations
