Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing in MO (IL, KS, TX a plus)
- 1-3 years of experience (criminal law and/or personal injury strongly preferred)
- Strong litigation, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage a high-volume and diverse caseload independently
- Commitment to client advocacy and ethical legal practice
Nice To Haves
- Licensed and in good standing in IL, KS, TX
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in criminal proceedings (state and/or federal) and personal injury claims (car accidents, workplace injuries, premises liability, etc.)
- Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs
- Conduct client consultations, evaluate cases, and advise on legal options
- Develop strategies through legal research and case investigation
- Negotiate plea agreements and settlements with opposing counsel and insurers
- Represent clients at depositions, mediations, hearings, pre-trials, and trials
- Maintain strong client communication and manage expectations
- Collaborate with paralegals, assistants, and fellow attorneys to ensure effective case management
