The County of San Diego is currently accepting applications for Crime and Intelligence Analyst. The starting salary for this position will be based on the candidate’s qualifications at time of appointment. Future Salary Increases are planned for June 2026 and June 2027. The Crime & Intelligence Analyst classification is used in both the Sheriff's Office and the District Attorney's office. Crime & Intelligence Analysts compile, independently analyze, evaluate, correlate, and disseminate crime data, crime reports, and other criminal intelligence information provided by local, State, and Federal law enforcement agencies relative to general criminal activities. The current vacancy is in the Sheriff’s Office. However, eligible candidates are encouraged to apply as this list may also be used for vacancies in other County of San Diego departments. The timeline for this recruitment includes a Job Offer and Background Process shortly after interviews conclude, followed by a Pre-employment Medical Screening approximately 3 days after successful background investigation results.
