About The Position

API Heat Transfer is hiring a Crib Attendant B for second shift to support its Operations Team. The position handles the movement, storage, issuing, and shipment of materials and parts throughout the facility. The attendant also operates material-handling equipment, maintains stock and storage areas, and performs inventory accuracy audits. The role is based at API Heat Transfer’s Buffalo-area location. The starting wage is $25.72 per hour, increasing incrementally to $28.10 after one year, with a $1.75 second-shift differential. Requirements

• GED or high school diploma.
• Two years of experience working in shipping and receiving departments.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, stooping, and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
• Move rough and finished materials from departments or other areas to the appropriate storage locations.
• Use production schedules or supervisor instructions to gather parts for contract or shop orders and deliver them to the correct department.
• Mark bills of material or shop-order copies to record materials issued, including quantity, date, and initials, and submit related requisitions to the Material Control office.
• Gather and package spare-parts orders and returned goods for shipping according to instructions.
• Operate material-handling equipment, including cranes (excluding cab), forklifts, and carts.
• Check tools in and out of the stock room when this is a stock-room function.
• Keep storage areas clean and orderly.
• Perform weekly inventory-accuracy audits through cycle counts, following company procedures.
• Perform closely related duties as assigned.
