About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Crew worker is to complete the precise installation of flooring and interior finishes. This role involves training and monitoring apprentice installers, ensuring adherence to company policies, and meticulous job site management from start to finish. The Crew Worker is also responsible for maintaining tools and vehicles, effective time management, and making sound decisions to resolve issues, often in collaboration with management. Continuous improvement of performance for oneself and others is expected.

Requirements

  • Experience in construction; including flooring, cabinet, and countertops.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Organized and process-oriented.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend and stoop for 8+ hours.
  • Minor lifting and carrying.

Responsibilities

  • Complete the precise installation of flooring and interior finishes.
  • Train and monitor apprentice installers, ensuring understanding and implementation of company policies and procedures.
  • Review and understand all information on job paperwork before beginning a project.
  • Access, clean, and inspect work area for possible trade damage upon job completion.
  • Contact Operations Manager and/or Scheduling team with job status and any potential issues.
  • Maintain installation tools.
  • Ensure company vehicles are well-maintained and clean.
  • Utilize effective time management to ensure timely and thorough job completion.
  • Use proper judgment and decision-making skills to consider costs and benefits of potential actions, partnering with management to resolve issues.
  • Assess performance of self and others to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Perform any other field duties as assigned.
