To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable professional to join our team as a Crew Planning Supervisor in our Flight Department. The primary responsibilities of the position are directing the teams to comply with the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and meeting on-time performance and efficiency goals, while adhering to the Piedmont Airlines Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). The Crew Planning Supervisor will lead the on-boarding of new software and a new aircraft.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of aviation experience
  • Previous experience with airline software systems
  • Knowledge of aviation FARs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, especially Excel and Word
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work based on changing requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in Crew Scheduling, Crew Planning, or Flight Training
  • Previous experience with airline software (PBS systems, CrewTrac/FLICA/S3RUS)
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, with aviation focus
  • Understanding and familiarity with FAR 121.500 subparts
  • Knowledge and familiarity with applying pilot and flight attendant CBAs

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Airline Crew Planners, including assigning daily, weekly, and monthly tasks
  • Perform audits on crew assignments
  • Maintain Preferential Bidding System (PBS) for crew and pair data with PBS processing (Skywise PBS)
  • Serve as a member of PWG (PBS Working Group)
  • Work collaboratively with external software vendors to ensure Piedmont's crew planning needs and requirements are met
  • Monitor the crew exceptions that are not legal, as per the FARs and CBA
  • Foster an environment of teamwork among all departments
  • Assist with loading new crew members data into all crew systems
  • Schedule individual coaching sessions and develop a recurrent training program
  • Perform Crew Scheduling, Crew Planning, and/or Crew Training scheduling tasks when necessary
  • Travel as needed to crew resources projects
