Job Summary: Prepare flight crew monthly bid packages and awards to comply with all pilot scheduling and collective agreement requirements, ensuring staffing levels are balanced on all schedules. Plan all pilot training requirements on a monthly basis.

Requirements

  • Relevant post-secondary diploma or degree.
  • 2 years’ experience in crew scheduling/planning in an airline operation.
  • High-level functional ability with Crew Planning/Scheduling software, Pelesys LMS/QMS automation systems.
  • Working knowledge of transport jet aircraft operating regulations, documentation and equipment.
  • Ability to work irregular hours and shift patterns from time to time.
  • Ability to hold a RAIC and maintain security clearance.
  • Ability to work well independently under time and resource constraints within a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build operational pairings, integrate training schedules, and prepare bid packages.
  • Generate monthly schedules from received bids.
  • Monitor operations to determine required adjustments to crewing needs.
  • Analyze commercial schedule to determine subsequent staffing requirements.
  • Preplan recurrent line checks, monthly plan initial line checks based on training progress.
  • Plan monthly training – simulator, ground training and line indoctrination.
  • Liaise with Flight Ops training management to ensure planned training complies with department objectives and Canadian Aviation Regulations.
  • Manage training changes throughout the month as adjustments become required.
