About The Position

Under direct supervision, perform various production support functions as well as fill in for vacations and illnesses.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in plastics compounding and extruder operations is essential.
• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 55 pounds.
• Must be able to walk, stand, & bend in a manufacturing setting for an entire shift.
• Must have Use of one or both feet or legs to move controls on machinery or equipment. Controls include, but are not limited to, pedals, buttons, levers, and cranks.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
• Requires the ability to wear eye protection, respiratory protection, safety shoes, hearing protection and gloves when working in production areas.
• Must follow facilities safety policies.

Nice To Haves

• Associate Degree in Supervisory Management or related field preferred.
• Successful candidate without two year Supervisory Management or related degree must enroll in approved course of study to obtain degree within 12-months of accepting position.
• Knowledgeable of manufacturing processes and procedures as well as supervisory experience is also preferred.

• Fill in for Supervisor

• Monitor shift / crew safety
• Mixing chemical barrels
• Assist with processing problems
