About The Position

Cox Automotive is seeking a Crew Leader to coach teams of high-performance drivers in the auto industry. This role involves leading a team of drivers on Manheim's multi-acre lots, ensuring safe and efficient movement of thousands of vehicles for auctions. The Crew Leader will train new drivers, monitor safety procedures, manage staffing, maintain an auction day playbook, collaborate with lot management, and perform daily van maintenance.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field, OR any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline, OR 5 years’ experience in a related field.
Valid driver’s license required.
Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
Basic mechanical knowledge of identifying vehicle issues (e.g., flat tires, low gas, jump-starting vehicles).

Nice To Haves

6 months of auction or driving experience preferred.
Knowledge of lot operations/lot layout preferred.
Knowledge of LDM preferred.

Responsibilities

Train new drivers and help them find their place on the team.
Coach and monitor all drivers on safety procedures.
Ensure each auction is adequately staffed and assist in communicating schedules and assignments.
Keep an auction day playbook with each Manheim vehicle stock number and lot location.
Collaborate with lot manager and quadrant coordinator to move vehicles and people.
Transport drivers, customers, and employees to locations as needed and on schedule.
Perform daily van maintenance, including cleaning, routine oil changes, and upkeep.
