About The Position

Full-Time Crew Leader in Training (Construction/Landscaping) at Valor Environmental, the largest full-service environmental services company in the United States. Valor’s services include erosion control, land services, street sweeping, and site maintenance nationwide. This role involves leading a crew, installing and removing silt fence, protecting storm inlets, working with heavy-duty hand tools, installing erosion control measures, identifying and correcting safety hazards, and operating company machinery.

Requirements

Previous construction or landscaping leadership experience
Must have a valid Driver’s License
Must be able to physically work outdoors in all types of weather
Must be able to work weekends and extended hours as needed
Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks.
Be able to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday.

Responsibilities

Lead a crew of Environmental Field Service (EFS) Specialists in the occurrence a Field Quality Manager (FQM) is out.
Install and remove Silt Fence.
Install protection to storm inlets.
Work with heavy duty hand tools (sledge hammer/shovels, etc.).
Install various types of erosion control measures (BMPs) as prescribed by reporting agencies.
Watch for safety hazards on jobsite, correct employees anytime they are working in an unsafe manner.
Operate company machinery.
Additional duties as assigned.
