Crew Lead Driver II (Manheim)
About The Position
This role is responsible for efficiently and effectively utilizing tools and technology to increase driver productivity and track vehicle movements within the lot. The Crew Lead Driver II will assist supervisors in directing employee work, communicate schedules, and orient new drivers. This position also involves shuttling employees, performing daily maintenance on company vehicles, and demonstrating a strong commitment to safety and company values. The Crew Lead Driver II will set an example in behavior, champion Cox/Manheim values, and ensure all employees are treated with respect, while also enforcing company policies and procedures. Overtime may be required as business needs dictate.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
- OR any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline; OR 5 years’ experience in a related field
- Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
- Basic mechanical knowledge (i.e., changing flat tires, checking fluids, jump starting vehicles.)
- Knowledge of lot operations/lot layout required.
- Ability to effectively use mobile devices including scanners to manage workflow.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
- Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
- Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug test.
- Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future.

Responsibilities
- Efficiently and effectively utilize tools and technology to increase driver productivity and track each vehicle moved with its lot location.
- Utilize mobile device to ensure proper flow of vehicles.
- Assist supervisor in directing the work of employees.
- Communicate schedules and assignments to the crew members.
- Orient and instruct new drivers regarding their job duties.
- Shuttle employees to and from auxiliary parking lots on sale days; provide transportation to employees parking inventoried vehicles at remote sites.
- Perform daily maintenance and routine checks of the van and clean and service the vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
- Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
- Effectively leads the team at the location by setting an example in behavior, championing Cox/Manheim values and ensuring that all employees are treated with respect.
- Enforce all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.
