About The Position

Directs crew members and equipment and plans and executes assigned work or tasks. This role involves climbing trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS systems, leading a crew in providing arboricultural care, and mentoring crew members through the Davey Career Development Program. The job requires proper maintenance, preparation, and operation of all tools and equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts. The work environment is outdoors with a new view each day.

Requirements

Love of the outdoors
Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire

ISA Certified Arborist ®, ISA Certified Tree Worker ®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional ®

Responsibilities

Directs crew members and equipment and plans and executes assigned work or tasks.
Climb Trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
Safely and productively lead a crew in providing arboricultural care for clients.
Perform Jobsite Hazards, Obstacles, Plan, Equipment (H.O.P.E) process.
Perform Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy.
Perform Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
Perform Removal of hazardous trees.
Mentor crew members through the Davey Career Development Program.
Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
