About The Position

RRC is seeking a Crew Hand II to support surveying work from its Austin/Round Rock, Texas office. RRC is a multidisciplinary engineering firm specializing in energy projects, particularly renewable energy, throughout the United States. The role supports land development, transportation, utility, energy, and land surveying projects by operating survey equipment, collecting data, locating property corners, and supporting job-site materials and equipment. The position requires following instructions from Crew Chiefs, careful attention to detail, and the ability to work at multiple job sites.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience as a crew hand.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Clean driving record.
Ability to carry up to 75 pounds of equipment to multiple job sites.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, pull, and push.
Experience assisting with setup, maintenance, and teardown of equipment or job-site materials.
Ability and willingness to follow written or verbal instructions.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy.
Prior experience using hand and power tools.
Basic mathematics skills.
Authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Experience working on Data Center projects.

Responsibilities

Operate conventional and GPS survey equipment to measure topographic features and boundary evidence accurately and efficiently.
Set up total stations and accurately gather survey data.
Locate property corners using a pin finder, recorded deeds or subdivision plans, or metes-and-bounds legal descriptions.
Run line work.
Support the movement, organization, and care of materials, tools, and equipment on site.
Follow written or verbal instructions from Crew Chiefs.
