This position is part of a combined engineering team for Crew & Equipment and Doors, covering all Gulfstream programs including current large cabin aircraft (G400/G500/G600/G700/G800), special missions, and new product development. The range of duties includes design, certification & qualification, supplier coordination, test/rigging specification definition, on-wing investigations, and testing. The role is primarily focused on Crew & Equipment but offers opportunities in Doors as well. Crew & Equipment encompasses all electrical equipment installations throughout the aircraft (flight deck, racks, underfloor, baggage & tail compartments, lights, cameras, antennas), associated secondary structure, crew seats, cabin insulation, flammability, placarding, closeouts, and several control handles/cables. Doors include all Door systems on the aircraft (main entry, overwing emergency, landing gear, baggage, service, acoustic, egress hatch) and related components (controllers, actuators, dampers, reels, latches, handles, seals). The team is cohesive with strong interpersonal dynamics, an efficient ethos, a mentorship culture, flexibility, and support for career/skills development. It has a strong reputation for effective, strategic, and efficient impact across numerous projects. Regular interaction with senior staff/leadership, manufacturing, service centers, and lab & flight test is expected to achieve goals.
