About The Position

The Arc of Ocean County is hiring a Part-Time Crew Chief to support and supervise individuals with disabilities participating in a community-based cleaning crew. This role involves traveling throughout Ocean County to various contracted service sites while providing hands-on training, encouragement, and leadership to crew members. As a Crew Chief, you will oversee a mobile cleaning team responsible for completing janitorial services at multiple community locations. You will play a key role in training, mentoring, and supporting individuals with disabilities while helping ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to quality expectations. This position is hands-on and includes actively working alongside crew members to complete cleaning assignments, maintain service standards, and meet customer needs.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Valid New Jersey driver’s license in good standing (5 points or fewer) and ability to safely operate a 10–12 passenger vehicle
Minimum two years of janitorial or custodial experience, including experience with floor stripping and waxing of large surfaces
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to successfully complete all state and federal background screening requirements
