About The Position

The Crew Chief is responsible for overseeing maintenance activities, supporting technicians, and ensuring regulatory compliance, workflow continuity, and high-quality aircraft maintenance operations. This position combines hands-on aircraft maintenance responsibilities with technical leadership, troubleshooting, and coordination across departments to support safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ideal candidate has 7+ years of aircraft maintenance experience on PC-12, PC-24, or similar aircraft preferred, with 2 years experience within an FAA Part 145 Repair Station environment
  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License required; Inspection Authorization preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, maintenance documentation, and illustrated parts catalogs
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems including airframes, engines, hydraulics, avionics, and electrical systems
  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and root cause analysis skills for complex mechanical and electrical issues
  • Experience performing aircraft operational checks, ground runs, and IFR certifications preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced maintenance environment and support operational priorities as required

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years of aircraft maintenance experience on PC-12, PC-24, or similar aircraft preferred
  • 2 years experience within an FAA Part 145 Repair Station environment
  • Inspection Authorization preferred
  • Experience performing aircraft operational checks, ground runs, and IFR certifications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performance of aircraft inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations in accordance with FAA regulations and approved maintenance procedures
  • Leadership, technical guidance, and training of Aircraft Maintenance Technicians and junior maintenance personnel
  • Oversight of work orders, maintenance documentation, airworthiness requirements, and regulatory compliance activities
  • Performance of aircraft operational checks, ground runs, and IFR certifications as required
  • Primary technical support for technicians, customers, and internal departments regarding complex maintenance issues and troubleshooting
  • Support of root cause analysis, technical research, and procedural improvements to enhance safety, quality, and operational efficiency
  • Coordination with Quality, Parts, and other departments to support workflow continuity and aircraft delivery schedules
  • Accurate completion of maintenance records, parts documentation, timecard entries, and regulatory paperwork
  • Maintenance of shop safety standards, tool control, and ground support equipment
  • Support of off-site maintenance activities and operational requirements as needed
