This position is Sunday - Thursday 11pm-7am. Responsibilities include performing operator duties for warping, tufting, and back winding, conducting quality checks such as moisture tests and weight checks, and attending necessary training. The role involves changing backing as needed, troubleshooting machine issues, operating TMS3 to process shop orders, loading and unloading beams, and creeling in both Warping and Tufting departments. This includes utilizing creel diagrams, maintaining creel racks, and performing creeling functions such as stripping and doubling creels. The operator will ensure quality and accuracy of yarn labels and cones match shop orders, pack yarn into boxes, count cones, and prepare packing labels. Responsibilities also include verifying beam thread up and number of ends, doffing and labeling beams, monitoring beam quality, identifying and correcting yarn defects, and properly disposing of recyclable and scrap materials. The role requires completing and distributing associated paperwork, threading ends during normal operation, changing blades in air splices, performing lift truck operator duties as scheduled, including inspections and paperwork, operating a floor sweeper and baler as needed, providing breaks to other team members, and assisting in keeping the facility clean. Maintaining a neat and orderly workspace, serving as a member of a team, actively participating in meetings, working toward team goals, and participating in team building activities are essential. The position requires the ability to 'flow to work' to service customers and business needs, gain and maintain necessary skills, attend all scheduled training classes for individual and team development, and safely complete other assigned duties.
