The Creek Language Apprentice I supports the preservation and revitalization of the Creek Language through grammar-based and immersion learning. The Apprentice develops conversational skills, verb conjugation, sentence formation, and the ability to lead Pre-K language classes. Successful completion of established proficiency and performance requirements is required for advancement to Creek Language Apprentice II. Other duties may be assigned to support program and departmental goals. Must plan, teach, and pass the teaching evaluation for Pre-K classes that is to be given by the Supervisor-Creek Language. After successfully completing the teaching evaluation and after successfully completing six (6) months of service as an Apprentice I may sit for the Creek Language Apprentice II exam. A three (3) month waiting period is required between testing attempts.
