About The Position

The Credit Risk Reporting Lead role is responsible for managing the CCAR Credit group, which prepares critical regulatory submissions and responses for the Firm's continued operations. This role involves close collaboration with subject matter experts from Credit Portfolio Risk, Loan Boarding Operations, Regulatory Reporting, Enterprise Risk Management, Finance, and other operating Lines of Business within CNB. The position will manage bank projects involving cross-functional teams across operations, technology, finance, legal, compliance, and revenue-generating business teams throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, the role will manage large technology initiatives to deliver end-to-end solutions across multiple technology teams, communicate project impacts to senior management and stakeholders, and implement effective project governance, including planning, risk management, and meeting cadences. The lead will drive change management rigor across functional and technical workstreams, encompassing issue/risk management, financial management, interdependency management, stakeholder engagement, and schedule/milestone management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • 15 years’ experience in finance or credit risk in the banking industry
  • Experience working on the FR Y-14M and FR Y-14Q and have in-depth understanding of CCAR reporting.
  • Experience working and effectively collaborating with finance, risk, operations and technology teams.
  • Background and experience with credit risk and/or operational risk.
  • Must be operationally savvy as well as an action-oriented individual who continually strives for improvement.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Broad understanding of Capital Markets, Retail Banking, and Wealth Management.
  • Familiarity with operational and support environment issues.
  • Results driven and self-motivated individual with demonstrated ability to improve operational processes and operate in a team environment.
  • Sound problem solving skills, including the ability to identify obstacles or issues and work independently to develop and propose flexible solutions.
  • In-depth understanding of regulatory expectations on Enhanced Prudential Standards and Supervisory Expectations and a Range of Current Practices on capital planning and adequacy and the ability to apply those standards using quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and present complex topics and analysis in a clear and concise manner (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain professional composure in a dynamic work environment that often requires management/completion of multiple tasks. Demonstrate sound judgement as well as apply logical/critical thought processes.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the workflow of their employees, creating team schedules and delegating tasks.
  • Assessing the work performance of their employees and identifying areas that need improvement.
  • Training and onboarding new hires to make sure they understand their roles.
  • Setting goals for workers and making sure they comply with the CNB’s plans and vision.
  • Document current reporting to ensure transparency in the current reporting framework.
  • Evaluate and improve the design of reports in existence, through a centralized process and data flow.
  • Improve access to and quality of data used.
  • Perform analytical review on reporting outputs to understand changes in portfolio composition and identify errors or omissions.
  • Perform and/or leverage portfolio analysis such as industry/geographic/product segmentation and ensure that impact is expected to ensure accuracy.
  • Develop, analyze, and justify assumptions and calculations to ensure transparency throughout the bank incorporating regulatory guidance.
  • Work collaboratively with Commercial and Consumer Lines of Business, Risk Management, the Enterprise Data Office, and Regulators.
  • Ensure that schedule changes are well communicated, approach is consistent, and issues are escalated as appropriate to the Regulatory Reporting Disclosure Committee.
  • Provide meaningful assessments of IT control environments impacted by financial, risk, and regulatory reporting.
  • Monitor new and emerging internal control related guidance and issues and assist with facilitating group-wide training to interested and impacted stakeholders.
  • Provide consultation and subject matter expertise for each process and IT control related matters including evaluating severity of control deficiencies and related remediation efforts.
  • Collaborate with the teams who design, develop, implement, document, and maintain new reporting processes to improve the quality, transparency, and consistency of the data reported.
  • Develop relationships with the appropriate levels of management for process improvement ideas, issue identification, and resolution.
