About The Position

Credit Review at Capital One is responsible for conducting independent, risk-based assurance work within Capital One’s credit portfolios, including credit cards, auto, unsecured loans, and commercial loans. This includes assessing credit-related strategies, practices, models, and governance across the first and second lines of defense. The Credit Review Senior Manager, Horizontal Transformation Lead will collaborate cross-functionally to define and execute the vision and key focus areas for operational excellence and process optimization. This role will also be responsible for accelerating Credit Review's AI-transformation by utilizing tools such as Generative AI-enabled chatbots, Agentic AI and Autonomous Workflows. The work is critical to maintaining our competitive advantage as a best-in-class function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, a related quantitative field, or military experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience performing consumer or account-level data analytics.
  • At least 5 years of experience in automation, software development, or product management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in credit risk analytics or modeling in a Fortune 500 financial institution.
  • At least 5 years of experience influencing senior-level executives.

Nice To Haves

  • Interdisciplinary work experience in the area of consumer lending risk analytics, commercial lending risk analytics, data analysis, and modeling.
  • Prior experience in a third-line assurance function in a large bank.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, Tableau, AWS, and Snowflake.
  • Prior experience of leading transformational changes in a large organization.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the strategic alignment and optimization of cross-functional processes to help ensure operational excellence, drives efficiency, and translates transformational strategy into scalable procedures.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and lead critical, cross-functional transformation projects, defining scope, stakeholders, and resources for timely delivery.
  • Serve as a key thought partner for process improvement and innovation, optimizing operating rhythms, enablement, and engagement.
  • Develop and execute an AI transformation strategy and implementation roadmap for the department.
  • Work closely with functional leaders within Credit Review to identify and lead areas where automation and/or AI have the highest leverage (use cases).
  • Partner with a cross-functional team of credit risk experts, data scientists, data analysts, and product managers to develop and deploy AI use cases.
  • Track and drive prioritization of AI use cases for the group.
  • Stay in sync with other groups in the firm regarding Gen AI transformation, sharing insights and providing thought leadership to the Credit Review teams.
  • Stay current on methods, technologies, and applications in the area of Gen AI and seek out opportunities to apply them.
  • Provide updates to the Credit Review leadership team regarding progress of Gen AI and automation enhancements.
