About The Position

The Data Management Assistant supports the Credit Research department by maintaining high-quality data that underpins research, reporting, and firmwide decision-making. This role helps ensure ratings and inventory information is accurate, consistent, and timely by performing data entry, validation, and ongoing monitoring across multiple research teams. The position partners closely with analysts, directors, Compliance, and Technology to resolve discrepancies, improve processes, and deliver reliable reports and ad hoc analysis. Success requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to prioritize competing requests in a deadline-driven environment.

Requirements

• Interest in a detail-oriented position
• Strong academic credentials including an undergraduate degree
• Professional presence and the ability to generate respect across the organization
• Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with sourcing/manipulating information pulled from internal databases, reports, and applications
• Exceptional communication skills – both verbal and written
• The ability to be a self-starter, capable of monitoring and meeting deadlines, while also ensuring accuracy
• A positive approach, a flexible attitude and a sense of humor

Nice To Haves

• Fixed Income experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing ratings data of several research teams
• Monitor and make recommendations of changes to analysts’ inventory
• Prepare and publish various reports to the firm
• Liaise with compliance and technology teams within Loomis Sayles as necessary
• Provide ad hoc reports for the managers of Credit Research
• Back-up to other data management staff and research assistants
