About The Position

Schroders is a global investment manager providing active asset management, wealth management, and investment solutions. Established in 1804, the company has approximately 5,500 employees across 36 global locations. Schroders manages over GBP75bn in global fixed income alpha strategies, with credit as a core component. The Global Credit Research platform is centralized in New York, London, and Singapore. This role is for a Credit Research Analyst to join the Global Fixed Income Research team in New York, focusing on US non-bank Financials and contributing differentiated credit insights. The objective is to create forward-looking, non-consensus research that delivers alpha to Schroders’ fixed income portfolios. The successful candidate will collaborate extensively with portfolio managers, other analysts, and support teams in New York, London, and Asia.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Proven ability to form and communicate differentiated investment views
  • Personable and team oriented
  • Familiarity with market and research tools such as Excel, Bloomberg, PowerPoint, Capital IQ
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • CFA or CPA
  • Up to 5 years research experience at a buy side or sell side institution
  • Experience analyzing HY/IG non-bank financials
  • Exposure to technical or programming skills
  • Experience with Aladdin and other industry-standard platforms
  • Established network across sell side, buy side, or issuer communities
  • Demonstrated willingness to take on new sector coverage as needed

Responsibilities

  • Perform fundamental analysis and financial modelling across covered names
  • Monitor performance and holdings relative to investment objectives, benchmarks and outlook
  • Provide opinions/reports on relative value analysis including buy/sell recommendations to the investment team and to the global credit research team
  • Provide ESG ratings for credits under coverage
  • Collaborate with other debt and equity analysts and portfolio managers as the credit expert on the covered industries
  • Frequently interact with portfolio managers and traders

Benefits

  • Base salary of $120-$150,000
