About The Position

A Credit Products Officer specializes in either Corporate and Industrial (C&I) or Commercial Real Estate (CRE) loan requests and is responsible for preparing complete and accurate credit analyses in a timely manner that meets or exceeds internal business partners' needs, customer expectations, regulatory requirements and leading industry practices. They are accountable for protecting the Bank by providing an unbiased and objective view of the prospective borrower and thoroughly disclosing all identified risks. In addition, this position is responsible for the monitoring and ongoing maintenance of a portfolio, while supporting one or more Relationship Managers in this endeavor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree 4 year college degree in business related field, or other acceptable alternative field required
  • 7-9 Years of credit experience required
  • Must have good accounting skills developed through formal college undergraduate courses (through intermediate accounting) or through acceptable alternative means such as AIB.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-screening Activities: Determine Risk Ratings, Prepare Spreads.
  • Underwriting Activities: Determine financial information requirements, Assist in preparation of the Pre-Approval Memorandum, Determine due diligence requirements, Perform borrower financial analysis, Perform guarantor financial analysis, Review and analyze all 3rd party reports, Identify and mitigate risks, Collaborate in credit structuring, Determine borrower, guarantor and facility risk rating, Complete Credit Approval Memorandum and electronic approval memorandum, Assemble approval package, Deliver the Approval Package to Credit Products Manager (CPM), Senior Credit Products Manager (SCPM) or Managing Director of Credit Products (MDCP) depending on Corporate Approval Model.
  • Approval Activities: Deliver approval package to Credit, Document approvals.
  • Post-approval Activities: Finalize credit approval package, Documentation Review, Credit file organization, Draft Post-Approval Modification Memo.
  • Portfolio Management Activities: Manage financial ticker items, Perform property inspections, Process draw requests and extensions, Conduct ongoing credit assessments/reviews, Risk Rating Management, Research, Identify cross-sale opportunities, Underwrite ACH exposure, Credit File Management, Portfolio Review, Customer Service.
  • Underwriting/Portfolio Management Practice Development: Identify opportunities, Collaborate.
  • Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.).
  • Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training.
  • Identifies and reports suspicious activity.
