As a Credit Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in corporate credit management, accounts receivable, and financial reporting while being mentored by experienced industry professionals.

Requirements

  • You hold a high school diploma (and are ideally pursuing further education in a related field).

  • You are a natural problem-solver: You bring a natural curiosity and a sharp eye to reviewing data, spotting issues, and finding solutions.
  • You are a strong communicator: You have excellent verbal and written skills, allowing you to collaborate professionally with both customers and internal departments.
  • You are comfortable with numbers: You possess strong foundational math skills.
  • You are tech-savvy: You are highly proficient in spreadsheet tools, such as Sheets, Excel.
  • You are driven: You are highly organized, self-motivated, and eager to learn in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process incoming cheques with a high degree of accuracy, assisting customers with billing inquiries and potential credit issues.
  • Maintain the integrity of customer master data within our Customer Application system and manage electronic and hard copy customer files.
  • Obtain business and consumer credit reports for new and existing accounts as directed. Perform credit reference requests by extracting system data and reviewing account trends.
  • Generate and review daily reports to track financial activities.
  • Act as a liaison between the credit team and other departments to efficiently investigate and resolve account issues.
  • Handle sensitive personal and financial information with the utmost discretion and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
  • Assist the Credit Manager and Analysts with ad-hoc duties and special projects as assigned, gaining broader exposure to credit management.
