The Credit Bureau Dispute Specialist researches regulatory TD Auto Finance credit bureau disputes; responds to customers and credit reporting agencies to ensure discrepancies are resolved and timely follow up occurs. This role handles sensitive consumer information (credit bureau data, raw PII, customer account information) and utilizes third-party data sources, internal systems, and tools to research and analyze information to ensure the accuracy of credit reporting. The specialist will research and respond to disputes received directly by mail or email, and utilize e-Oscar to quickly respond to indirect disputes via Automated Consumer Dispute Verification (ACDV). They will also research and action feedback from credit bureaus, internal reporting, and third parties to ensure accurate reporting, correct inaccurate account information provided to CRAs, and document resolutions using internal systems and e-OSCAR. A clear understanding of current internal credit-related policies and procedures, as well as all applicable federal regulations and credit industry standards, is required. The role involves adapting to and endorsing change, serving as an agent of positive change to support goals and direction, and demonstrating a strong commitment to meet or exceed external and internal expectations, service, and quality goals. The specialist must be able to work within a corporate environment, adhering to schedule and punctuality requirements, and ensuring the confidentiality of all aspects of the company’s operations, portfolio, customer information, and computer technology. The ability to work weekdays and weekend/overtime if required to ensure adherence to SLAs is necessary. The role also involves engaging internal/external partners to obtain pertinent account information, identifying and addressing process improvements, responding to inquiries, and assisting in resolving problems/complaints. Promoting a positive team environment through professional behavior and respect for others, and escalating complex issues to lead or supervisory staff are also key responsibilities. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management.
