About The Position

We are currently hiring a Credit Assistant to support a fast-paced credit and customer service team. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable handling a high volume of calls and account activity.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Typing speed of 40+ WPM
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, internet navigation)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to remain professional when handling difficult conversations
  • Effective memo and letter writing
  • Mathematical, spelling and accuracy aptitude

Responsibilities

  • Answer and manage a high volume of incoming calls professionally
  • Assist customers with account questions, payments, billing, and order status
  • Process and manage Cash Before Delivery (CBD) orders and accounts
  • Enter and maintain accurate customer account information
  • Support credit team with documentation, references, and reporting
  • Assist with collections on past-due accounts (phone and email)
  • Process payments, including credit card transactions
  • Research and resolve account discrepancies and order issues
  • Prepare correspondence, documents, and general administrative support
